hello again

It really has been a while.

My last entry was Feb 2021...

Much has changed since then

Covid is on his way out. Many countries like sxm and bdos have suspended pcr and antigen tests for entry once fully vaxxed. 

Cruises are king again.

Calvin just left sxm where he spent a month's vacation.

Our next stop is Bermuda in less than 2 weeks.

I'm seriously thinking about going to Egypt in Dec.

Travel is back.

The house I've purchased is finished, renovated with little knick knacks along the way. 

It's tenanted...of course with some bumps along the way.

And...I have completed my second masters of law...yes..I've done it. 1 Yr 7 months of pure torture 

I submitted the thesis while at CREF Conference. An early morning in my room. A mixture of fedupness and trepidation. I did it.

A long journey filled with desperation , despair and daunting feelings. A sprinkle of hope in the home stretch but I did it. To be honest. I remember crying in bed after I did it. I really don't know if it was fear, relief, happiness or what that prompted the waterworks...but they arrived and I let them fall.

2 days ago, I received my result 4 out of 5. And I hope my older self will look back at that time and smile at how it all unfolded..I'll add a screenshot for longevity.

Gloria...the angel that the Lord sent to look over me was the first....and then down the line.

Work folks, facebook, lennard , Calvin, recession fetes, kimmy..just...relief.. 

Disbelief and relief. It is over.

I am done.

A 2 year programme in 1yr and 7 months complete.

I did it. 

The pride i feel in myself is immeasurable 

But now it is time to rebuild the lst 2 years of my life. Lose weight. Catch up with friends. Reinsert myself into humanity.

But I did it

And of course as i get itchy feet the job hunt begins in earnest again soon...

Went to Kes today.

Iwer was fire as usual.

But it was weird and uncomfortable sitting for 4hrs

2021 is what you make it

How we individually define success is a really funny thing..so too achievement.

Some may say having family and engendering relationships is the ultimate goal..for others it's not.

For me..one of the definitions is being FREE OF TTMF baby! At least I now have one chain off my neck instead of two.

Belmont is paid off beeyotches!! Jan 2017 to Feb 5 2021. 4 years of continuing to live like I'm still on my first salary and it's done!!

Im so happy and relieved and a little bit proud of myself.

Now on to the bigger damned chain..Diego Martin lol.

In other news..school is going decently enough. First semester was hectic, I was perpetually exhausted (or could it be from the other reason back in Nov..hmmm) and just overrall stressed and not impressed.

But! I have two 3s, one 4 and three 5s under my belt...God is good and I will revel in the small "wins"

Well its the end of October. I have not writteb anything at all down since June and so much has happened!

Beginning of August I went to Tobago to sort out some land in an insanely expensive way (20K in 6hrs)

Mid - August,.viewed a house in Trinidad. Put in offer and we're closing on Monday! 5 days away!

Now, on Nov 1, I have two separate tenants taking up occupancy in each apartment as I figure that there'll be no carnival for quite some time :/ but it will really help out with the mortgage.

By end of December I hope to clear the mortgage on the first house so I will have cleared the mortgage in about 4 years! 

covid madness again

June 11 I said I would be wary because of our porous borders to the south and west of the island.

I would be wary because we have greedy and selfish people who would do anything for a dollar.

Well.Tdad went from 6 imported cases. 0 community spread to 2 cases because of community spread.

No idea who patient 0 is...os it's circulating amongst us.
