forever in my heart Bermuda - 2022

It's been about 3 years since I've last come to Bermuda and it's still as gorgeous. Manicured streets and lands,  clean and gorgeous homes,  I keep saying I need to find a way to get a well paying job here  .. because!! Just gorgeous.  But stress on the well paying... box of chicken and chips is 100TT! A lady selling juice at the side of the road selling SMALL juice bottles for 10US! Oh lord!!

This rounds in doing it a bit differently and spent money on .... transportation.  Because the twizy is not exactly a car.  But the independence of being able to go as we please and discover new areas is great.

Just through charger hunting today we ended up walking to the fish filled church bay for a fab snorkel in the chilly waters.
Yesterday we were at Fort Hamilton in town. . Mind you it was for a fete but we killed 2 birds with 1 stone and got some touring in!

dust in yuh face

Saharan dust , storm like winds, 2023 seems to be active

Sitting here,  craving sashimi, 3 days before I head to Bermuda.

30lbs to lose and is only dust in my face and lungs.

aand that's a wrap! on to the next thing

Crossing fingers for my classmate Gloria tho. She submitted 2 weeks before me but still has no grade.

hello again

It really has been a while.
My last entry was Feb 2021...

Much has changed since then

Covid is on his way out. Many countries like sxm and bdos have suspended pcr and antigen tests for entry once fully vaxxed.

Cruises are king again.

Calvin just left sxm where he spent a month's vacation.

Our next stop is Bermuda in less than 2 weeks.

I'm seriously thinking about going to Egypt in Dec.
Travel is back.

The house I've purchased is finished, renovated with little knick knacks along the way.
It's tenanted...of course with some bumps along the way.

And...I have completed my second masters of law...yes..I've done it. 1 Yr 7 months of pure torture
I submitted the thesis while at CREF Conference. An early morning in my room. A mixture of fedupness and trepidation. I did it.
A long journey filled with desperation , despair and daunting feelings. A sprinkle of hope in the home stretch but I did it. To be honest. I remember crying in bed after I did it. I really don't know if it was fear, relief, happiness or what that prompted the waterworks...but they arrived and I let them fall.
2 days ago, I received my result 4 out of 5. And I hope my older self will look back at that time and smile at how it all unfolded..I'll add a screenshot for longevity.
Gloria...the angel that the Lord sent to look over me was the first....and then down the line.
Work folks, facebook, lennard , Calvin, recession fetes, kimmy..just...relief..
Disbelief and relief. It is over.
I am done.
A 2 year programme in 1yr and 7 months complete.
I did it.
The pride i feel in myself is immeasurable
But now it is time to rebuild the lst 2 years of my life. Lose weight. Catch up with friends. Reinsert myself into humanity.

But I did it

And of course as i get itchy feet the job hunt begins in earnest again soon...
